Essential Pre-treatment Guide

RISKS AND ADVICE - ESSENTIAL PRE-TREATMENT GUIDE

To be read and understood prior to undertaking any treatment with our Aesthetic Doctors. You must select the tick box on your questionnaire to confirm that you have read the following:

 

Post-treatment advice – applicable to Aesthetic Injection clients ONLY.

Please be aware that there may be a certain degree of swelling or bruising. 

 Please avoid:

  • Unnecessarily touching the treated area or using makeup for the rest of the day.
  • Sleeping or lying down for at least three hours after the treatment.
  • Increasing blood flow to the face for 24 hours (e. vigorous exercise, sauna, alcohol, spicy foods, air travel).
  • Massaging the treated area and tight-fitting hats/helmets for three days.

 

General Risks

Please note that although these routine cosmetic procedures have a long and excellent safety record, every procedure or medication carries a risk. These procedures are typically considered to be very low risk and the majority of these complications will resolve spontaneously over time. Arguably the most significant risks are allergy and also drooping of the eyelid. Please seek urgent medical attention if you experience significant symptoms after treatment.

 

Botulinum toxin – Risks

Bruising, swelling, bleeding, infection, allergy, fainting, pain, headache, lack of benefit, drooping eyelid/eyebrow, blurred or double vision, facial asymmetry, , sensitivity to botulinum, lack of effect over time, if used in the lower face: difficulty eating, speaking, singing or playing a wind instrument.

 

Dermal Fillers – Risks

Allergy/anaphylaxis, inflammation, bruising/haematoma, swelling, stiffness, arterial damage/necrosis, Tyndall effect (localised bluish discolouration of the skin), infection, nodule formation/granuloma, migration of the filler, pigment changes (darkening/lightening), scarring, blindness (1 in a million risk - due to potential retinal artery occlusion).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE PURCHASE OF COSMECEUTICALS

  1. Hedox Clinic promotes and sells a variety of cosmeceutical/prescription skincare ranges which can be purchased via virtual terminal on the clinic website; https://www.hedoxclinic.co.uk/shop
  2. The merchant country of origin and base of operations is the UK. Hedox Clinic is owned by Hedox Ltd company registration number 10810513.
  3. Company correspondence address is Dr Stephen Humble, c/o True MediSpa, Cross Deep, 57 King Street Parade, King Street, Twickenham TW1 3SG.
  4. Prescription skincare can only be ordered following a medical consultation with Dr Humble.
  5. UK delivery is free of charge for orders over £50 and items are sent via 1st class Royal Mail.  For order of £70+ we use an insured 'signed for' service.  Overseas shipping is not free of charge and will be chargeable as per the relevant carrier's prices.
  6. Returns of cosmeceuticals are accepted in accordance with UK statutory rights.
  7. Returned cosmeceuticals will be refunded in full subject to packaging being unopened/untampered/undamaged.
  8. Return postage costs will not be reimbursed.
  9. Any discounts that are offered cannot be used in conjunction with each other - only the maximum/highest value discount will apply at any one time.  For example, if a 15% discount code is presented, this will be used instead of the standard 10% discount off spends over £100.  Discounts cannot be combined.
  10. Any discretionary discounts applied/offered [as part of referral reward or recommending us to a friend] can be used once only, against the next treatment or purchase.  Additional discounts can be rewarded for additional referrals but each is redeemable on a single occasion i.e. a one-time discount per referral/recommendation.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS

Products purchased
Returns of cosmeceuticals are accepted in accordance with UK statutory rights [subject to packaging being unopened/untampered/undamaged] and refunded minus delivery costs. Return postage costs are not refundable.

Aesthetic consultations
A £50 deposit is payable at the time of booking any remote consultation or in-clinic appointment, via card payment or Paypal and this secures your time with your Doctor. The £50 deposit taken is deductible from subsequent treatment fees but it is not refundable unless Dr Humble advises that the treatment sought is not clinically indicated and/or advisable. The deposit is non-refundable for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice given.

Refund processing
Refunds, where due, will be processed within 24 hours of request to the card used when making the purchase or booking and email confirmation of this will be sent. There may be a short delay before money appears back in your account.

FOR AESTHETIC CLINICAL ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT AND PURCHASE OF COSMECEUTICALS/PRESCRIPTION SKINCARE

Clinical Services Provided by Dr S R Humble MBChB, MSc, PhD, FCARCSI Consultant in Pain Medicine, Anaesthesia and Aesthetic Medicine Director of Hedox Limited trading as Hedox Clinic and London Interventional Clinic

These terms and conditions relate to the fees charged for professional clinical aesthetic services provided by Dr Humble for consultations and treatment.

Aesthetic Terms and Conditions:

  1. Consultations are complimentary for all aesthetics appointments however a £50 deposit is payable, which is fully redeemable against the cost of treatment.
  2. The £50 deposit taken is deductible from subsequent treatment fees but it is not refundable unless Dr Humble advises that the treatment sought is not clinically indicated and/or advisable.
  3. The deposit is non-refundable for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice given.
  4. All clients are required to read and sign consent forms detailing the risks and benefits relating to any/all aesthetic treatments provided prior to the treatment being administered.
  5. All clients must undergo an initial consultation wherein Dr Humble will gather the history and assess whether the treatment sought is suitable, or likely to be successful, prior to any treatment being carried out.
  6. All treatment provided is chargeable and no refunds will be made following treatment was taken.

  8. The balance of any treatment taken is payable at the time of the appointment - we do not offer an invoicing service after treatment has been taken.
  9. Formal receipts can be provided on request.

Delivery options are given at the point of sale; first or second class Royal Mail (chargeable), or collection from our clinic (without charge).
  11. Returns of cosmeceuticals are accepted in accordance with UK statutory rights [subject to packaging being unopened/untampered/undamaged] and refunded minus delivery costs. Return postage costs are not refundable.
  12. Any discretionary discounts applied/offered [as part of referral reward or recommending us to a friend] can be used once only, against the next treatment or purchase.  Additional discounts can be rewarded for additional referrals but each is redeemable on a single occasion i.e. a one-time discount per referral/recommendation.

Liability:

  1. It is a client’s/patient’s responsibility to ensure that they provide Hedox Clinic with a full medical history prior to consultation and to advise Dr Humble as to any/all changes at each consultation/treatment session. Hedox Clinic will not be liable for any resulting impact that occurs as a result of the patient’s failure to disclose any such details.
  2. The client/patient agrees to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to them by, or on behalf of, Hedox Clinic regarding the care of a treated area.
  3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall exclude or limit Hedox Clinic’s liability for death or any personal injury resulting from negligence by the Hedox Clinic.
  4. Hedox Clinic only partners with producers of aesthetic products and skincare whose products and/or ingredients are medical grade and which carry a strong evidence base, however we can offer no guarantees that products will achieve the desired outcome in your particular case.  No clinic or product should make such a claim.  Hedox Clinic makes professional and informed recommendations, based on clinical assessment, of products that we believe will be of benefit to our clients and customers.
