Neck Rejuvenation London – Non-Surgical/Nefertiti Neck Lift

The neck and hands can often be neglected parts of the human body. It’s incredibly easy to forget about them when we are busy with life in general and we reserve the time we have for preening and modelling our hair, face, nails, legs and torsos. The bad news is these are the two most obvious giveaways of our true age or worse premature ageing, ageing you beyond your years! Daily exercises for the neck will help significantly but may not be enough therefore injectable treatment with Botox and Profhilo® may be needed.

How to Treat
Neck Rejuvenation

Targeted medical-grade skincare specifically formulated for the neck such as the brilliant SkinCeuticals Tripeptide-R Neck Repair (available here) is also a great foundation on which to build. This unique product from SkinCeuticals works with encapsulated retinol, tripeptide concentrate and glycine complex targeting the undesirable outcomes of ageing in the neck area; focusing on horizontal lines, crepiness and firmness or stiffening of the skin. No other area of the body requires such flexibility as the neck but a consequence that means, over time, the skin becomes fragile and susceptible to ageing.

Successful injectable rejuvenation treatments for the neck are limited but there are targeted treatments we can offer you here at Hedox Clinic. For strong and/or prominent platysma muscles and platysma banding (horizontal bands), botulinum toxin can be administered to these areas to relax the muscles. The Nefertiti neck lift (named after the famously long-necked Egyptian Queen) combines these injections and includes additional Botox injections to the neckline to provide a lifting effect to the jowl area, sadly commonly referred to as ‘Turkey neck’.

Only a fully trained medical practitioner should carry out these treatments but it is possible to avoid surgical intervention by following this route. Injections administered expertly to the target areas produce a sharpened and well-defined jawline, an overall lift to the jawline and neck and, most importantly, softening of the platysma muscles causing the external effect. Over time, with repeated treatments, this new look may become the new normal.

Neck Rejuvination FAQs

The neck area can be improved greatly with injectable treatments that may significantly reduce the signs of ageing, however, there are fewer treatments available than for the face. If there are relatively strong or prominent neck muscles, known as platysma muscles, these may be targeted with botulinum toxin treatment. This treatment can sharpen up and tighten a sagging jawline and also reduce the horizontal bands in the neck which cause the ‘turkey neck’ appearance. If there are significant fine lines, wrinkles and crepiness of the skin then Profhilo  may be a great option. This skin booster treatment contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin to reduce the effects of ageing and restore your youthful radiance. It also contains vitamins and minerals that stimulate the production of elastin and collagen to treat skin laxity and texture and tone.

Botulinum toxin and Profhilo treatments may work well together and should be combined with a good medical grade skincare regime in order to get the most out of treatment and prolong the duration of effect. At the Hedox Clinic we will be able to make personalised recommendations to suit your skin type and skin concern. With regards to the neck area, one of our most popular products in SkinCeuticals Tripeptide R Neck Repair cream, which is one of the few cosmeceutical products designed specifically for the neck area, that provides excellent results.

Treatment of the neck area with injectables such as Botulinum toxin and Profhilo  products can rejuvenate the area in a number of ways. Botulinum toxin can sharpen up and tighten a sagging jawline as well as reducing the horizontal bands in the neck which cause the ‘turkey neck’ appearance. Profhilo can hydrate and plump the skin to reduce the effects of ageing and restore your youthful radiance. Profhilo also contains vitamins and minerals that stimulate the production of elastin and collagen to treat skin laxity, texture issues and tone. Neck rejuvenation using Botulinum toxin and Profhilo injectables is very safe.

However, there are minor risks associated with any medical procedure that is performed. In this case this includes infection, allergy, asymmetry, bruising, suboptimal result and potentially vascular occlusion, but this is exceptionally rare. It is important to note that while most people that have neck rejuvenation treatments will experience some very minor bruising, that should subside over 24-48 hours, a minority of people may experience significant bruising that may last for one week and because of this, it should not be carried out just before an important public event or similar.

The amount and type of treatment required to rejuvenate the neck area with injectable products varies significantly from person to person and is related to age, appearance, anatomy, skin concerns and your budget. Botulinum toxin treatment can sharpen up and tighten a sagging jawline and also reduce the horizontal bands in the neck which cause the ‘turkey neck’ appearance. If there are significant fine lines, wrinkles and crepiness of the skin then Profhilo may be a great option for you. Profhilo is a skin booster treatment contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin to reduce the effects of ageing and restore your youthful radiance. It also contains vitamins and minerals that stimulate the production of elastin and collagen to treat skin laxity and texture and tone.

Many people opt for neck rejuvenation treatment to improve the appearance of the neck area, which can be a tell tale sign of one’s age. Neck rejuvenation treatment with injectables such as Botulinum toxin and Profhilo may enhance the quality and the density of the skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance as well as sharpening up and tightening a sagging jawline and reducing the horizontal bands in the neck often referred to as ‘turkey neck.’ If your neck looks older than your face then neck rejuvenation may be a good option for you, combined with a good medical grade skincare regime in order to get the most out of treatment and prolong the duration of effect.

The costs of neck rejuvenation treatment with injectables such as Botulinum toxin and Profhilo varies from clinic to clinic and the nature of treatment required for the individuals’ concerns. At the Hedox Clinic the cost of Botulinum toxin treatment for the neck is £350 and the cost of Profhilo treatment is £350. Both may be carried out on the same day and we offer a 10% discount for a combined treatment such as this.

The manufacturers protocol for Profhilo treatment recommends a second Profhilo treatment after one month for maximal impact. Further treatments may be carried out as required after a period of at least 6 months.

The majority people that undergo rejuvenation treatment with injectables such as Botulinum toxin and Profhilo will experience some minor bruising that should subside over 24-48 hours. In a minority of people more significant bruising can occur, that may last for around one week and because of that, the treatment should not be carried out just before an important public event or similar.

Botulinum toxin treatment, can start to have some effect after one week, but the full benefit takes two weeks and the benefit may last 3-4 months. Profhilo treatment takes longer to materialise due to it being a skin booster treatment. The final effect may be seen after several weeks due to the stimulation of elastin and collagen. It is hard to quantify the exact duration of skin booster treatments, but it is likely to last for 6 months. This will depend on variables including age, smoking status and genetic factors. As with all skin treatments, it is crucial to complement your treatment with excellent skincare maintenance.
