Uneven / Misshapen
Nose London

A misshapen or uneven nose, often characterized by a nasal bump, hook, or curve, can be attributed to genetic factors or result from an injury. We use award winning Teoxane hyaluronic acid filler from Switzerland to make small careful tweaks in order to achieve a very natural look.

If you have an asymmetrical, hooked or crooked nose it may be the only thing that you see in the mirror. Even if the imperfection is barely detectable by other people it can still feel like a really big deal. At Hedox Clinic we are not looking to make dramatic changes to your nose because only an ENT surgeon can do that and we are happy to leave that to them. Instead, we like to use strategically placed high grade Hyaluronic acid filler to balance out the nose and soften any prominent bumps in a subtle and very natural looking way.

What is non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as non-surgical nose reshaping, is a cosmetic procedure that offers an alternative to traditional surgical rhinoplasty. It involves the use of dermal fillers, typically composed of hyaluronic acid, to reshape and enhance the appearance of the nose. This non-invasive technique allows for precise adjustments to correct imperfections such as bumps, asymmetry, or a drooping tip. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a popular choice for individuals seeking a temporary or less permanent solution to improve the aesthetics of their nose without the need for surgery. It offers minimal downtime, immediate results, and the ability to achieve a natural-looking outcome.

How does non-surgical rhinoplasty differ from traditional surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, in contrast to traditional surgical nose jobs, provides a non-invasive alternative for nose reshaping. Unlike surgery, non-surgical rhinoplasty does not require incisions, general anesthesia, or extensive recovery time. Instead, this procedure utilises quality dermal fillers, typically hyaluronic acid-based, to sculpt and contour the nose. It allows for precise adjustments to correct imperfections such as bumps, asymmetry, or a drooping tip. Non-surgical rhinoplasty offers immediate results, minimal downtime, and a shorter procedure time compared to surgical options. Furthermore, it is a temporary solution, as the effects of the fillers will gradually diminish over time. This approach appeals to individuals seeking a less permanent, less invasive option to enhance their nasal appearance.

What are the advantages of non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical nose reshaping, or non-surgical rhinoplasty, offers several advantages for individuals seeking to enhance their nasal appearance. Firstly, it is a non-invasive procedure, meaning there are no incisions or surgical risks involved. This translates to minimal downtime, allowing patients to quickly resume their daily activities. Additionally, non-surgical nose reshaping typically requires a shorter procedure time compared to traditional surgical options. Immediate results can be achieved, with the ability to see the transformed nose right after the treatment. Another advantage is the ability to make precise adjustments, addressing specific concerns such as bumps, asymmetry, or a drooping tip. The procedure is temporary, as it uses dermal fillers that gradually dissipate over time, allowing patients to explore different options or make changes if desired. Overall, non-surgical nose reshaping provides a safe, efficient, and flexible approach for individuals looking to enhance their nasal aesthetics without the need for surgery.

Before and after non surgical rhinoplasty

How long does a non-surgical nose reshaping procedure typically take?

A typical non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure, or non-surgical nose reshaping, is known for its efficiency and time-saving benefits. On average, the procedure duration is relatively short, often ranging from 20 to 40 minutes. The actual time may vary depending on the specific requirements and desired outcomes of the patient. However, compared to traditional surgical rhinoplasty, non-surgical rhinoplasty offers a significantly reduced procedure time. This allows individuals to conveniently fit the procedure into their busy schedules, as it can be performed during a lunch break on a quick visit to the Harley Street clinic. With its time-saving advantage, non-surgical rhinoplasty offers a convenient option for those seeking nasal enhancements without the need for a lengthy surgical procedure.

Is non-surgical rhinoplasty painful?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, including dermal filler nose reshaping, is generally well-tolerated and associated with minimal discomfort. The procedure involves the use of topical local anaesthetic to maximise patient comfort during the treatment. Most individuals report only mild sensations, such as pressure or slight stinging, which subside quickly. The use of fine-gauge needles and advanced injection techniques further contribute to a relatively painless experience. However, pain tolerance can vary among individuals, and some may experience slight sensitivity or tenderness in the treated area following the procedure. Overall, non-surgical rhinoplasty or dermal filler nose reshaping is considered to be a low-pain procedure, allowing individuals to achieve their desired nasal enhancements with minimal discomfort.

How long do the results of non-surgical rhinoplasty last?

The duration of results from nasal bridge filler and nose reshaping can vary depending on several factors. Typically, the effects of dermal fillers used in these procedures last for an average of 9 to 12 months. However, it’s important to note that individual experiences may differ. Factors such as the type of filler used, metabolism, lifestyle habits, and the body’s natural response to the filler can influence the longevity of the results. Some patients may find that their results last longer, while others may require touch-up treatments to maintain the desired outcome. It is recommended to consult with a qualified practitioner who can assess your specific case and provide personalized information on the expected duration of results for nasal bridge filler and nose reshaping.

There are many reasons we can have an uneven or misshapen nose. The following is a list of the factors:

Genetic factors: A misshapen nose can often be attributed to genetic inheritance, where certain nasal features or structures are passed down through generations, for example ‘Roman nose’, ‘Greek nose’, ‘Flat nose’, ‘Bulbous nose’ and ‘Hawk nose’.
Trauma or injury: Nose deformities can result from accidents, sports injuries, or any trauma that affects the nasal bones or cartilage.
Developmental abnormalities: Certain developmental conditions or syndromes can contribute to a misshapen nose.
Ageing: As individuals age, the nose can undergo changes in shape and structure due to the natural ageing process, causing a misshapen appearance.
Previous surgical procedures: Previous nose surgeries, such as rhinoplasty, may result in unsatisfactory outcomes or deformities, leading to a misshapen nose.
Environmental factors: Environmental factors like exposure to toxins, chemicals, or extreme temperatures can potentially affect nasal structure and lead to a misshapen nose.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with non-surgical or liquid rhinoplasty?

While non-surgical or liquid rhinoplasty is generally considered safe, there are potential risks and side effects to be aware of. It is important to consult with a qualified and experienced practitioner who can assess your specific case and address any concerns. Some possible risks and side effects of non-surgical nose job include:

1. Temporary swelling or bruising: It is common to experience mild swelling or bruising at the injection sites, but these typically subside within a few days.

2. Discomfort or tenderness: Some individuals may experience mild discomfort or tenderness at the treatment area, but this is usually temporary and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief.

3. Allergic reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to dermal fillers can occur. It is crucial to disclose any known allergies and undergo a patch test if recommended by the consultant.

4. Infection: As with any procedure involving injections, there is a small risk of infection. At Hedox Clinic we carry out nasal filler using sterile techniques and by following proper aftercare guidance can minimise this risk.

5. Uneven results or asymmetry: Achieving perfect symmetry is challenging, and there is a possibility of slight asymmetry or uneven results. We have only skilled doctors at Hedox Clinic who strive to minimise these issues and ensure natural-looking outcomes.

6. Vascular complications: In rare cases, filler injections can inadvertently enter blood vessels, leading to potential complications. Choosing a high qualified doctor-led clinic with a thorough understanding of facial anatomy reduces this risk.

It’s essential to have a thorough consultation with your doctor at Hedox Clinic and discuss any potential risks or side effects with your consultant before undergoing non-surgical rhinoplasty nose treatment.

What are my treatment options?

When considering a liquid nose job, also known as non-surgical rhinoplasty, you have some options available. These options include:

1. Dermal fillers: The most common approach for a liquid nose job is using dermal fillers. These fillers, typically composed of hyaluronic acid, can be strategically injected to reshape and contour the nose, addressing concerns such as bumps, asymmetry, or a drooping tip. Dermal fillers offer immediate results with minimal downtime.

2. Hyaluronidase injections: In cases where the results of a previous filler treatment need to be adjusted or reversed, hyaluronidase injections can be used. Hyaluronidase helps break down hyaluronic acid fillers, allowing for modification or complete removal of the filler.

It’s important to consult with one of our qualified doctors who can assess your specific needs and recommend the most suitable treatment option for your desired results. Each treatment option has its own benefits and considerations, and a thorough consultation will help determine the best approach for reshaping your nose. Anyone thinking about cosmetic procedures should speak openly and honestly with their professional aesthetic consultant at Hedox Clinic about their expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cheek Fillers London

Injections are delivered into the skin through a very fine needle, they won’t hurt as such but most clients feel some short lived discomfort. A local anaesthetic numbing cream can be applied to reduce the level of discomfort that is felt.

Yes, and over the years they have become more and more popular, with a huge number of people using them to reduce the appearance of fine lines and lost volume.
It can take anything from 2 – 14 days to see the full effects after your treatment.
This will be determined at your complimentary assessment, or possibly at a review following your first treatment. Subtle, natural results are the focus to us, and Dr Humble will talk to you about how often you can have treatment in your particular case. Without regular treatment you will find that the appearance of your wrinkles will return to how they looked pre-treatment, and it is critical to have a good skincare routine, a healthy diet and good levels of hydration.

When you have anti-ageing injections, a substance is injected directly into specific muscles of the face that are involved in the regular movements causing the lines. For example, the muscles involved in frowning are called the corrugator muscles, these muscles are injected to help improve and prevent the ‘frown lines’. To help the ‘crow’s feet’ we inject into the orbicularis oculi muscles.

Every time you use these muscles, it causes a wrinkling of the skin. When that happens many times, hundreds or even thousands of times, it can make the wrinkles stronger.

Anti-ageing injections stop you from making that wrinkle stronger by limiting the contraction of the muscle. It doesn’t necessarily stop the muscle working entirely, although in high doses it can do that, but in lower doses, what it actually does is reduces the strength of the contraction and therefore it stops you from producing such a strong wrinkle. This provides an excellent anti-wrinkle effect and it’s an extremely safe and effective treatment that can last for months at a time. It is considered one of the best ways to get rid of wrinkles.

The first question many people ask when considering whether or not to have anti-ageing injections, is whether it is a safe procedure. The answer to this is yes, it is a particularly safe treatment to have.

Would it be the right treatment for you and effective? You can only know this following a full aesthetic assessment with a competent, trained doctor or fully qualified practitioner and they would be able to assess you and decide if it would be a good treatment for you.

It is a particularly effective treatment for someone who has lines across the forehead horizontally, surprise lines or the frown lines and/or particularly bad crow’s feet. However it is not ideal if the wrinkles are obvious and deep all the time, even when you completely relax your face. If that’s the case, it may potentially be too late for anti-ageing injections to be fully effective.

If you’ve got prominent lines when you move your face, but they tend to go away when you relax your face that’s the ideal time to have anti-ageing injections. Often, people think it is best to wait until later in life until the lines are more obvious, but actually, anti-ageing injections are very effective at preventing lines from appearing and getting worse, so they are an excellent preventative treatment.

We will gather some information about you and talk to you about your concerns, your skincare routine and your health. Your assessment will always be with Dr Stephen Humble, a highly qualified Consultant in Aesthetic Medicine, and he will recommend treatment options for you. What is recommended to you will be specific to you and based on thorough assessment and discussion.
We offer expert advice regarding ageing and sun-exposed skin from an aesthetic doctor with the highest qualification available in the UK, dermal fillers to increase volume that has been lost, highly efficacious medical skincare systems that WORK, and anti ageing injections that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines for a more youthful and refreshed look.
